Tile trends are fun and ever every changing but classic white tile will never go out of style. The easy way to make it interesting is to mixup the shapes and darken the grout. This bathroom is small and lacks any architectural detail. It is a small room with a shower, toilet and sink. By going classic and monochromatic not only does the space look bigger but your eye goes to the fun farmhouse sink. Lets look at what this bathroom look like before….
The bathroom was pretty dated yet the foot print we left the same. Here is what we changed:
- New floor tile
- New wall tile
- New wall mount vanity
- New toilet
- Remove the glass
- New Shower Tile
- New fixtures with new plumbing behind the walls
It is amazing what a simple plan will do. The room is bright and it feels so much bigger. The homeowner saved money by using affordable tile from floor and decor.
We used a wall mounted sink she had seen from another one of my projects…
Look familiar? Its the same brand just a different size.
This is the bathroom for her two littles. She wanted to keep their bathroom simple. The shelf houses hair ties and tootbrushing essentials. The rest is left in their rooms.
The mirror is from Target. Its the perfect shape and size for this space.
How cute are those little pendants with her kids names?

Minimal has so many benefits… small spaces look large.. easier to clean…less stuff…. but its sometimes hard to commit. A minimal bathroom is complimented by getting ready somewhere else. A vanity area with furniture in a bedroom is one way that is accomplished. Here is an example of a small bathroom look book with the style above.
- Baskets are for towels storage and toilet paper storage
- Hooks are for hanging towels
- shelf is for soap, toothbrush holders, razors and all the things you need only in a bathroom.
sink, mirror, hooks, shelf, curtain, curtain rod, faucet, rug, light fixture, baskets, hex tile, square tile, baskets
If you want a minimal look but need just a little more more storage…. here is a look book with medicine cabinets and shelves over the toilet.
- Pair of medicine cabinets to hide lots of things you need.
- A sconce over each medicine cabinet
- Minimal shelves over the toilet for anything extra you want to have on hand in a bathroom.
sink, set of medicine cabinets, shelf, faucets, wall shelves over toilet, curtain, curtain rod, hooks, rug, baskets, pair of sconces, hex tile, wall tile.
This was a fun project to do and we loved working with these clients. Their bathroom looks this good every time I am over at the house. Minimal can be done!
