The guest bedroom is pretty narrow with large windows. The large windows are amazing but their placement, while symmetrical to the exterior, make interior furniture and wall decor a bit tricky. The narrow room makes furniture placement tough. In short, the room can feel like an uninteresting small corridor. The solution? Wallpaper. I want my guests to stay in a room that light, bright, and fun…yet not too overwhelming. I have been scouring the internet for a blue printed, non-busy wallpaper with a white background. It’s not been successful.
What I love about the wall paper above is that it is a small print and very simple. The room is small and I would like the room to feel light and airy.

I did a white wall paper in my last ORC room above and I absolutely love it… just the right amount of white and pattern.
The problem is I can find something similar in color and style but the pattern is too big.

I then turned my thoughts to stencil. Let me first say, I don’t know if I have the patience for this. The lined wall paper about did me in last time, but it’s officially summer with no summer programs so I might get a 12 years olds help without even having to ask.
I turned to Royal Design Studios to see what they had and I found this stencil.

I don’t really want the semi-circles and just wondering if I could tape them off on both sides. What I am trying to decide is how big of a pattern I want:

The above pattern is five inches. This stencil is meant for the wall but is it too big? I just don’t want it to be a massive pattern. Then I saw this option of the same stencil.

Its the same stencil but smaller. But… its for furniture. Yes it could go on walls but am I going to just go insane?
I would tape off the scallops around the print. Would this be too busy? Am I going to wish that I bought the bigger print?
Just to remind you (so you don’t have to scroll up) Here is my inspiration wall paper.

The thing is. I think I like the size better of the smaller stencil BUT…. I like the spacing of the larger stencil better.
What do I do? Well, I am ordering one tomorrow so stay tuned.
