Spring 2022 One Room Challenge: The 10 Year Anniversary!
Last week I shared that I was participating in the 1o year anniversary of the One Room Challenge. I am tackling a big one… a kitchen. So let’s dive into the plan. The client and I have been working on this plan for quite some time. We were working on it while we were doing her bathroom. Yep, this is the house of the green tile bathroom from the Spring 2021 ORC. So… let’s dive into the plan….
This is the look book. There are so many things to be excited about but the homeowner is most excited about her Ilve stove.
I am excited about using Semihandmade however, Ikea has been a little hit and miss with availability. More on that in the coming weeks.
Here is the overall design of the kitchen and we are going to keep the original 100 year old built in. The floor in the plan are more representative of the color not what we will be installing.
Because of all the angles in the walls…that cannot change… we will not have any upper cabinets.
Instead we will have a full wall pantry and integrated panel fridge.
We are also going to max out her base cabinets with well though out storage. The dishwasher placement was a bit of a tricky design solution
I have an amazing plumber and we talked through how we could get it around the corner. It will have a panel on the front.
We are really excited about how this small kitchen will turn out. Stay tuned next week for all things Ikea and Semihandmade
