There has not been much visual progress in the space but I the biggest decision I have been making is figuring out the layout of the bedroom. The above style board represent pieces that I would like to use in the space. I am not sure I will use them all but the position of the bed determines what I can use. Do I want the bed in front of the window? This could work because the headboard lets light through. This allows space for a bench. Do I place the bed on the wall creating less space that the foot of the bed? I thought I’d share the two options.
I spent the day cleaning out the room. It began the day in this sad collected state.
It ended like this. The rug is dirty and needs to be cleaned. Its going away. I do love the windows without the shades. I think I will do something minimal. The big debate is what direction should the bed go.
Pros of Window Wall:
- More room for bench/ dresser/ all the things
- Makes the room feel bigger
- Light fixture centered over the bed
Cons of Window Wall:
- Window is awkwardly placed, but the bed is low and not bulky so that helps.
- What to do on the large wall with no windows. The plumbing door sticks out a little.sour
Here is a little inspiration of how I would make this work. A gallery wall could balance the other side of the wall.
This is the layout I am leaning towards because it makes most sense of all the walls.
Pros for Blank Wall:
- Doesn’t block window
- Makes sense
Cons for Blank Wall:
- Light fixture not centered
- No room for bench at the end of the bed.
The above layout is what I am going with… but first the wall paper or stencil I spoke of last week.
